River aggregate

River Aggregate is found as natural pebbles and sand. It is usually dug or dredged from a river or lake. It has been used in construction, industrial and highway engineering, in the form of pebbles or crushed stones due to its good hardness properties.

River aggregate is more durable and less water absorbing than limestone.

It is also insoluble in water and less cement is used in the concrete mix than other aggregates.
